Q: What is the maximum guest capacity for an elopement at The Lakehouse?

A: The maximum capacity is 12 guests plus the couple in our set out packages. Vendors like caterers, photographers, videographers, and celebrants are not included in this number. If you would like up to 30 guest at the ceremony and up to 20 guests for the evening ceremony please contact us for availability and pricing.

Q: Can more than the 10 guests staying in the cottages stay for a reception?

This can be arranged at an additional cost of $100/guest. The additional guests must leave by 9 pm that evening.

Q: How much do extra guests cost over your standard packages

Q: Can we get ready in your Cottages, even if we don’t stay in the accommodation?

Certainly, the couple and your support team are more than welcome to come early to get ready in. We can get you in at at least 12 pm, potentially earlier depending if we have guests staying the night before.

Q: Are my Vendors counted in my guest count?

Absolutely not! Your guest count is purely for the people you want to share your special day with.

We have you covered! If it rains, we will erect our 6-meter diameter canvas event tent free of charge. This ensures you and your guests can continue the celebration without getting wet. This will be offered to you free of charge if it is raining on the day. More information here.

Absolutely! Even without rain, the event tent can add a unique aesthetic touch to your event. For a small fee of $250, you can opt to include the tent in your event setup.

Yes, this is an optional extra. The Deluxe Package offers a unique dining experience in our picturesque field under a canopy of string lights. The package includes sturdy, rustic trestle tables that can accommodate up to 14 guests. Please enquire about this.

Q: Are there specific time frames or seasons when The Lakehouse is available for elopements?

A: No, The Lakehouse is available for elopements year-round.

Q: What is the booking process, and what are the deposit requirements?

A: To lock in a date, we require a signed contract, and a 25% deposit. We are able to change your date 30 days prior to your date free of charge if the new date is free.

Q: How far in advance do clients need to book their elopement?

A: We accept bookings approximately up to 18 months in advance. Depending on availability, we can book your elopement with as little as 1 day’s notice.

Q: Do you offer additional services such as photography, catering, or florals?

A: No, we believe it’s best for couples to choose their own vendors to suit their preferences and budget. We have curated a Vendors Directory for you to use.

Q: Are there any restrictions or rules guests should be aware of?

A: We do allow pets at the ceremony and may allow pets to stay in our cottages depending on the breed and temperament.

Not bands are allowed on premise by we do welcome acoustic solo acts to add to your special day.

Q: What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?

A: If you cancel your reservation 14 or more days before the event, we will refund your Cleaning/Breakage Deposit Fee minus the Rental Deposit, which is non-refundable. If you cancel within 13 days of the event, we will retain the Total Rental Fee, including the Rental Deposit as a non-refundable deposit. However, the Cleaning/Breakage Deposit will be returned.
